The Proposal: We closed on a house together on Oct. 30, 2018. Later that week, our parents wanted to see the house. I (Mallory) was so focused on cleaning and making it look presentable that I didn’t have a clue Bill would be proposing. When he picked me up from my house to meet our parents at the new house, the porch was full of stuff for us to quickly move in before they arrived. He didn’t want to take any of it over there, but I insisted. My hands were full with cleaning supplies and my steamer as we walked up to the front door. He asked me to unlock the door because he “forgot” his house key. I handed him everything I was holding and unlocked the door. We walked in and he grabbed my hand. We walked to the back of our house where the sunroom was. I saw lights and candles flickering through the French doors leading to the sunroom and realized what was about to happen. He said a lot of very sweet words and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Both of our families were waiting to come see us afterward, and they had invited some of our closest friends to celebrate with us. We had a small engagement party with those who meant the most to us.

Favorite Moment: Bill and I decided to do a first reveal. I was totally against it initially, but once I thought about it I changed my mind. I am so happy we decided to do it. We had our first reveal on the rooftop of the Redmont Hotel. It was such an intimate setting with it just being us two. We were able to embrace each other, calm each other and just talk about how the day was going. Seeing his expression when he turned around to see me in my wedding dress for the first time is a moment I will never forget. It was a moment full of emotion and happy tears, and I would not have changed one part of it.

Favorite Wedding Details: My favorite wedding details would have to be the string lights over the dance floor, as well as the lights on the brick wall where we cut the cakes.
