The Proposal: I (Jordan) had finished my last day of law school the day before, and my mom had been planning a surprise graduation party at the Tutwiler Hotel. Little did I know, this was not just a graduation party. I walked in the lobby of the hotel to my great aunt playing “our song” (Mine Would Be You by Blake Shelton) on the piano. Alex said, “There is something on the piano for you.” It was a little gift bag with a note that he had written a few years before that said “Mine WILL be you,” along with a card. While I was reading the card filled with the story of how we met and the moment he knew he wanted to marry me, my friends and family were hiding in the next room. I looked up and he was on one knee with the prettiest ring I have ever seen. We celebrated the night with our closest friends and family!

Favorite Moment: My favorite moment from our wedding day was throwing the first pitch together before our reception. Alex played collegiate baseball for Samford University, so baseball was a huge part of our lives. I always thought it would be so perfect to have our reception at Regions Field. When we found out we could throw the first pitch at the game that night, we knew we had picked the right venue!

What You Are Doing Now: We bought our first house in Hoover. Alex is a project manager and I (Jordan) am a judicial assistant for a judge in Tuscaloosa County.
