How did you two meet?
Logan is from a small town called Corner, and my dad’s side of the family is as well. Logan has four nieces, and I have three cousins who have been friends since they were little. They all live in Corner, too. Logan and I would see each other at events in Corner. We knew of each other and would wave and say hello. I attended Auburn University and Logan attended Samford University, but once I moved back to Birmingham to attend nursing school, Logan decided to ask me on a date. I was nervous, but we both ended that date telling our best friends “that’s the person I’m going to marry.” God’s timing was absolutely perfect in our story, and we feel so blessed.
The Proposal
We planned a trip to the beach with our families to celebrate my nursing school graduation. I still had to take my nursing boards and pass them, so in my mind Logan was definitely not going to propose. We all got dressed up to eat dinner in 30A, but on the way to dinner, we had to stop and “go see one of Logan’s friends.” Logan and I got out of the car and began walking in this beautiful neighborhood called Carillon Beach. He stopped in front of this beautiful chapel, got down on his knee and proposed. I was completely surprised!
Favorite Wedding Moment
My very favorite moment during the wedding was my and Logan’s first dance. We both absolutely love to dance. We danced to “I Want to Dance with Somebody,” and it was so much fun and matched our personalities perfectly.
Favorite Wedding Details
When we did our first look, it was such a special moment. Having time before pictures and all the rush that comes with wedding festivities, just to be with each other and talk, was perfect and so meaningful.
