Brought to patrons by the Dixie Vintage Antique Automobile Club, First Saturday Cruise In features numerous vintage, classic cars in the Hoover Tactical Firearms parking lot. With music and complimentary coffee, this event is perfect for those with an appreciation for “sweet rides.” According to Dixie Vintage’s website, the club helps to restore and preserve vintage and antique cars, providing a social outlet for car enthusiasts. Roger Day

Hydrangeas under the Stars

Aldridge Gardens

Hydrangeas under the Stars is Aldridge Gardens’s annual summer shindig. Event attendees can look forward to live entertainment, dinner and both a live and silent auction. Proceeds benefit Aldridge Gardens. The reception and silent auction begins at 6 p.m., and dinner and the live auction will begin at 7 p.m. underneath the pavilion. Bridgerton Ball

The Hoover Public Library

The Hoover Public Library will transform the library plaza into a ballroom and welcome guests to its regency-era ball in honor of the highly anticipated third season of the show, “Bridgerton.” Attendees will learn an English country dance, sample light refreshments and discuss the latest gossip in town. The Hoover Metropolitan Complex 

The city of Hoover will host its annual fireworks show at the Hoover Metropolitan Stadium, in which event attendees can sit outside in the parking lot and watch the 15-minute fireworks display. Patrons are advised to bring their own blankets or lawn chairs, and everyone can tune in to 87.9 FM for a music broadcast paired with the show.
