Hoover Public Library
The Hoover Public Library is proud to host the 2024 Southern Voices Festival and welcome renowned author, Elizabeth George, as the keynote speaker on Friday, Feb. 23 at 7 p.m. in the library theatre. A reception and book signing on the library plaza will follow Elizabeth’s presentation. Elizabeth is the author of the New York Times best-selling Inspector Lynley mysteries. Elizabeth’s novel, Write Away: One Writer’s Approach to the Novel, is also a New York Times best-seller for her creative writing. In addition, she is the executive chair of the Elizabeth George Foundation, which provides grants to aspiring writers. Joining Elizabeth on Saturday, Feb. 24 are Kate Quinn (The Alice Network); Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist John Archibald; Kim Cross (In Light of All Darkness: Inside the Polly Klaas Kidnapping and the Search for America’s Child); Daniel Nayeri (Everything Sad is Untrue); Kenan Orhan (I Am My Country: And Other Stories); and Yasmin Angoe (Her Name is Knight).
