The Bluff Park 8K is unique in that it features only 250 feet of running uphill over the whole course. It was designed for runners to run at one of the highest points in the city. Everyone is welcome to attend, including those with strollers and leashed dogs. All registrants receive a participant T-shirt and post-race breakfast. Register here.

Bluff Park Christmas Parade

Bring the family and watch as the annual Bluff Park Christmas Parade processes through a neighborhood near you! The parade will begin and end at the Bluff Park Community Park. The parade will begin on Cloudland Drive, then will turn right onto Lester Lane, turn South on Clearview Road, turn right onto Rockview Lane and finally, turn right onto Cloudland Drive to end the festivities at the park. VIP Christmas Party

Hoover-Randle Home & Gardens

Brought to patrons by the Hoover Randle House, the annual Old-Fashioned Christmas VIP Party is back again this month, celebrating donors who throughout the year financially support Hoover students in need. Admission is $55 per person and includes food, drinks, access to a silent auction, a wine pull and more. With the purchase of a $50 raffle ticket, attendees will go into a drawing for a bottle of Van Winkle 12 Year Lot B, which is valued at $1,000. Ho Ho Hoover-Randle Open House

The annual Ho Ho Hoover-Randle Open House showcases Hoover nonprofits, organizations and businesses that “Deck the Halls of Hoover-Randle House.” Admission is $15 per person, which gives attendees access to view the beautiful Christmas decor, to take pictures with Santa, sample food and beverages and enjoy live performances by the Spain Park Dazzlers, Hoover High Buccannettes, Hoover choirs and special guests, Ms. Senior Alabama Kathy Paiml and more. Hoover Menorah Lighting

Wednesday, Dec. 13 | 5-6 p.m.
Hoover Public Library

Chabad of Alabama and the City of Hoover will host its first-ever joint menorah lighting ceremony, featuring music, arts and crafts, kids’ activities, doughnuts, latkes and more. There will also be a dreidel mascot for photo opportunities, too. Everyone is invited to celebrate Hanukkah at this event.
