How did you two meet?
Aaron and I were sophomores at The University of Alabama when we met. We were introduced by a mutual friend, Wells Thomas, who was a groomsman in our wedding. We invited each other to our date parties that semester and started dating shortly after.
The Proposal
Aaron proposed to me at my favorite place, Lake Martin. We were with family at my grandmother’s house on Lake Martin for the proposal. During a badminton game, Aaron got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him! Shortly after the proposal, Aaron’s parents surprised me and appeared from the house. It was so special to have both our families there. Our parents had not yet met, so it was even more special getting to introduce them during such a wonderful moment.
Favorite Wedding Moment
My favorite moment of our wedding was pulling up to the reception on the boat. We were greeted on the dock by our families and above us, lining the rails, were all of our guests cheering and toasting to us. It was so amazing, seeing all of our friends and family there together to celebrate with us.
Favorite Wedding Details
I loved how every aspect of our day turned out. From the beautiful flowers to the cake table to the lake as a backdrop in all of our pictures, I wouldn’t change a thing about it. We didn’t do a first look, but I’m so glad we didn’t. It was so special not seeing each other until I walked down the aisle.
