How did you two meet?
We met through a mutual friend after a Nashville Predators hockey game. We became inseparable, and the rest is history!
The Proposal
Brett planned a romantic walk to the top of Love Circle, which overlooks downtown Nashville. He scoped it out the previous week and felt it was the perfect place. However, once reaching the top, he discovered it was way too crowded. Instead, he proposed on the porch of what is now our future home together.
Favorite Wedding Moment
My favorite moment was when we became Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Brett Warren. All of the effort in planning the wedding led up to that specific moment. In front of God and all of those we cherish, everything came together so perfectly. Brett’s younger brother officiated the ceremony, and it was unbelievably intimate and special.
Favorite Wedding Details
Many of the details of my wedding highlighted generations before us. The church was founded in 1888 with beautiful stonework and stained-glass windows. I wore an heirloom lavalier that was worn by the past five generations of women in my family on their wedding day. The dress I wore was previously worn by my grandmother in 1950 and my mother in 1977. The ring that I wore on my right hand belonged to my dad’s mom. I carried an antique handkerchief given to me by my mother in law. We displayed pictures of the weddings of our parents and our grandparents at the wedding and reception. My grandfather was a big golfer at Hoover Country Club, and my parents’ wedding reception also took place there. I gifted my bridesmaids beautiful vintage furs. Our “get away” was a horse-drawn carriage. My wedding day felt so very magical, thanks to these details!
