1. Patriot Day Remembrance Ceremony

Following the ceremony, the Hoover Climb to Remember will take place in an exterior stairwell of the north parking deck of the Riverchase Galleria and participants will climb the stairwell repeatedly until they reach the equivalent of 110 flights of stairs, is the number of stories that were in the twin towers of the World Trade Center before the buildings came crashing down.

2. Story Sprouts at the Gardens

3. Hoover Historical Meeting

Children’s Fresh Air Farm, Bluff Park

This outdoor dance performance by Sanspointe Dance Company delves into what it means to have – and find – community with those around us. The company will be joined by live musicians, and the last piece in the show will include members of the Birmingham community, old and young, dancer and non-dancer. 5. Roger Day

6. Head Over Teal 5K/10K

Hoover Preserve

Come out for a 5K race, 10K race, family friendly games, face painting, food, and live music to benefit Laura Crandall Brown Foundation. 7. Monday at the Movies

Monday, Sept. 27

Hoover Public Library – The Library Theatre

Spend your Monday at the Movies with a free screening of Knives Out. The a 2019 mystery follows a master detective investigating the death of the patriarch of a wealthy, dysfunctional family, and it stars Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Shannon, Don Johnson, Toni Collette, Lakeith Stanfield, Katherine Langford, Jaeden Martell and Christopher Plummer. 8. Vintage Market Days of Birmingham

Dishes of all styles and ethnicities can be found around Hoover, and on this night many of them are all in one place.
