The Hoover Met
Moss Rock Festival is joining forces with special guest Magic City Art Connection for Moss Magic this year. You’ll get to explore Magic City Art Connection artists as well as Moss Rock Festival’s traditional nature, smart living, art and design exhibitors and programming. 2. Virtual Walk to End Epilepsy
Saturday, Nov. 7
This annual walk will look at little different this year with a Zoom presentation at 9:30 a.m. After that registrants are encouraged to walk in support of the Epilepsy Foundation in their own neighborhood, on their treadmill, or wherever they choose. The event is expected to raise more than $50,000 to help the more than 54,000 people in Alabama living with epilepsy and seizures. 3. Virtual Out of the Darkness Walk
Sunday, Nov. 8
Join hundreds of thousands of people to raise awareness and funds for suicide prevention at this annual walk, held virtually this year. All funds raised go toward the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) to invest in new research, create educational programs, advocate for public policy, and support survivors of suicide loss. 4. (Virtual) Market Noel
Nov. 16-22
This annual Junior League of Birmingham holiday shopping event is moving online follow COVID-19 safety precautions. With the purchase of a $15 General Admission ticket, you get access to its virtual marketplace with more than 50 stores from across the nation Tuesday, Nov. 17 through Sunday, Nov. 22. Virtual events will also be held throughout the week. Proceeds from Market Noel go back into the community through the JLB’s 40 community projects benefiting women and children in need. 5. The Fight for the Noblest Democracy: Women’s Suffrage in Alabama
Tuesday, Nov. 17
Come out to learn more about the Alabama women involved in the suffrage movement and an exhibit on the topic at Vulcan Park and Museum from Jennifer Watts. This Hoover Historical Society Meeting will meet at the Hoover Library meeting room if in-person meetings are possible, with a Zoom option if necessary.

Christmas Tree Lighting
Tuesday, Dec. 1 | 5 p.m.
Hoover City Hall
Come out for this annual city event to kick off the holiday season. A Hoover City School choir will perform, and a student lights the Christmas tree during the ceremony. Santa will make his a grand entrance on a fire truck and takes pictures with children too.
