3. Golden Rule Back to School Bash

Saturday, Sept. 16 | 2-7 p.m.
Brock’s Gap Brewing Company

Brought to patrons by Brock’s Gap Brewing Company and Darby Enterprise Global Solutions Community Development Foundation, the Golden Rule Back to School Bash will kick-off festivities with live entertainment, food trucks, family-friendly games and activities and more. 4. Head Over Teal 5k & 10K 

Saturday, Sept. 23 | 8 a.m.

The 14th annual Head Over Teal 5k/10k is back, benefitting the Hoover-based non-profit, the Laura Crandall Brown Foundation “LCBF.” Since 2009, the LCBF has granted more than $650,000 for early detection research for ovarian cancer and more than $250,000 in financial support to thousands of GYN cancer patients. This race’s participants can run, walk or leisurely stroll to the finish line. Food, drinks and family-friendly activities will be available for participants and sponsors after the event concludes.
