HOW DID YOU TWO MEET?
Conner and I like to say that we met with the help of the “Invisible String Theory.” The theory outlines how we all are connected in some way through a string and will meet when the time feels right. We say this because as we got to know each other, we realized there were so many times that we could’ve met but didn’t. We both attended Troy University, but he graduated when I was just arriving. (We even had the same major). After I graduated, I moved back to Birmingham, which is where we are both originally from. I moved into a house with my sister, and coincidentally, Conner moved into a house on the next street. In October 2020, I was at a friend’s house of who was also a friend of Conner’s, when Conner walked through the door. Our invisible string had finally pulled us together, and the rest is history!
THE PROPOSAL
On March 19, 2022, I thought that we were just going to lunch with my parents, but little did I know what Conner had planned. When we walked into my parents’ backyard, I saw pictures of us hanging up and instantly started realizing what was happening. Conner got down on one knee and asked me the question that I had been dreaming about since I met him. After I said yes, I turned around to see both of our families watching from inside. We spent the rest of the day celebrating.
WEDDING DRESS DETAILS
I knew I wanted my dress to be simple and timeless. I ended up walking out with the most perfect dress–a satin, fitted, high-neck gown with a gorgeous open back.
WEDDING PLANNING ADVICE
Don’t wish it away! There were so many times that wedding planning got the best of me, but I would go back in a heartbeat. It was such a special and fun time in my life that went by way too fast.
