HOW DID YOU TWO MEET?
We met at Auburn University, when we both attended college there. We were also neighbors in our college neighborhood, Creekside, and met through mutual friends.
PREPARING FOR MARRIAGE
He proposed in the mountains of Colorado! He also surprised me and flew both of our families out to be there after the big moment happened because he knew as beautiful as a destination proposal was, it was so important to me that our families be present.
PREPARING FOR MARRIAGE
We attended premarital counseling with Rev. Mikah Hudson, the pastor at Highlands United Methodist Church, as well as several counseling sessions with my uncle Rev. Patrick Friday, who is the pastor at The Church at Cahaba Bend.
WEDDING MOMENTS
Walking down the aisle with my dad, I knew this was a moment that was going to feel like time stood still. Hearing the bells chime in the bell tower to the Westminster Peal as the doors opened, standing arm-in-arm with my father and seeing all the people Travis and I both love in one room for the first time was surreal. That was also the moment I got to see Travis at the end of the aisle, and immediately, I felt an overwhelming sense of peace.
